Protected Lands
Welcome to the Land Trust's preserves and protected lands! All of these properties are open to the public, year-round, free of charge. We invite you to browse through and read their stories. And then we encourage you to venture out and see some (or all!) of these magnificent places. We couldn't protect these properties without support from our members and donors, we hope you'll join us preserving these places for future generations. For a Google map of the Land Trust's preserves that includes driving directions from your location, topography, and aerial images, click here.
Please help us protect the preserves by participating in quiet recreation such as walking and birdwatching. Trapping, camping, fires, motorized vehicles, bicycles, horses, and collecting are prohibited.
For complete rules and restrictions on nature preserves please click here.
For a complete list of temporary partial or complete closures of nature preserves due to the 2011 deer hunting season please click here. You will also find this information on the individual preserve pages. If a preserve is not listed, it is not open for hunting and will be open to the public through the deer season for hiking and quiet recreation. For questions, please contact the Land Trust office 607-275-9487.
Enjoy your visit!
